Le Petite Project: Butter Churn

My version of Butter Church for the Le Petite Project!  Over Thanksgiving I did the binding but didn't get it posted.  I love how it turned out.  I used Sip of Summer by Connecting Threads.    This project showed me how important a design wall is.  I had it ready to sew together by blocks but it when much faster when I had it all laid out and could whip out rows at a time.   Not to mention put all my colors where I wanted them.  Yellows together, oranges together, I had to rip out a few that ended up in the wrong places.  I love the yellow as it reminds me of butter and the green of grass and orange of cheddar cheese.  And well Purple if you don't know is my favorite color.

It was bright and cheery on my table on a cold winter day.

  1. This is the cutest, sweetest, most cheerful quilt I've seen in a while! Love it! And thanks for showing it on your table... even though you stated it was small, I didn't realize how small until I saw it on your table surrounded by plates and glasses. Wow! Way to go, fellow Slow Poke! I'm impressed!
